FIRST POETRY COLLECTION – Ceramics and Installations, Maria Leppänen
I tell my children that the world is often unfair.
I teach them to cherish and protect their sensitivity.
A sorrowful person is a bitter old soul who died in childhood.
Who holds power in the world? Does it strive for the greatest good?
For too long, I thought so.
I fear speaking my thoughts aloud.
A poem allows one to speak briefly,
to break lines in half,
to arrange thoughts. My exhibition features works presented as three-dimensional poems.
My poetry collection is experimental, tentative, raw, and honest.
