ART TRAPEZE – Pori Art School’s Children’s and Youth Spring Exhibition & Final Project Exhibition
Pori Art School presents the Children’s and Youth Spring Exhibition at Poriginal Gallery from April 22 to May 9, 2023.
This vibrant and colorful exhibition is built around circus- and carnival-themed student artworks.
Poriginal Gallery has been transformed into a festive carnival space where visitors can explore a dazzling circus world and a whimsical amusement park, surrounded by a mysterious natural landscape. Among circus tents and floating hot air balloons, the audience will also experience an immersive soundscape and encounter imaginative characters and animals. The exhibition has been curated as an experiential installation, offering plenty to explore within the imaginative world created by students aged 4 to 19.
The gallery also features the Final Project Exhibition of graduating students from the art school. The final project is an independent work designed and executed by each student, with nearly a full academic year dedicated to its completion. This year’s projects showcase a diverse range of techniques, including painting, digital media, three-dimensional construction, and animation. The spring 2023 graduating students presenting their final works are Amanda Ahtiainen, Anton Ahtiainen, Ada Grönbacka, Kaneli Keiholehti, Karoliina Kuusisto, Anni Lepistö, Arttu Lindblom, Henri Santanen, Iivari Sipola, Oona Peltomaa, Suvi Pihlajamäki, Wilhelmiina Rauäng, and Annika-Ellen Tihiäsalo.
Opening Reception: Friday, April 21, 6–8 PM.
