DREAM MESSAGES – Kirsi Backman

During the spring and summer, after a difficult start to the year, I have been working on the pieces for the DREAM MESSAGES exhibition. I have let dreams carry ideas and themes freely, without strict boundaries.

Dreams take us into the hidden, deep layers of the mind, producing meaningful, mystical, and comforting dream images. The messages from the unconscious and conscious realms of dreams seek to guide us along the path of life.

In my dream images, I find myself once again—after many years—traveling through foreign cultures, with the moon accompanying me in my works. Animal figures, birds, flowers, and houses convey their own messages.

I use ceramics and scrap metal as materials in my works. The pieces have been created this year, though a few from previous years may also be included.
Technical execution of metal parts: Kai Backman.

I hope my exhibition inspires you to reflect on your own dream world and connect with your inner guidance.
