Jury Opens Poriginal Gallery’s 2024 Exhibition Season

The opening date and vernissage of the JURY24 exhibition have been postponed due to delays in the ongoing renovations at the venue. The exhibition will be open to the public starting Tuesday, January 9, at 11 AM.

The vernissage will take place on Saturday, January 13, from 5 to 7 PM at Poriginal Gallery, Eteläranta 6, 28100 Pori. The artists will be present at the opening. Admission is free—welcome!

The first exhibition of the year at Poriginal Gallery traditionally features a group exhibition by artist members of juries appointed by local artist associations. The exhibition will be open from January 9 to January 23, 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 6 PM.

The artist jury members are active figures within their respective associations. In 2024, the selected artists are Heli Koskela from Art Assosisation (NYTE) , Heli Piittala-Virtanen from Pori Society of Artists, and Vilma Wallenström from Rauma Printmakers Association. The exhibition will feature paintings, prints, and sculptures.Koskela and Piittala-Virtanen studied at the Pori Art School’s adult evening program in the early 2010s, while Wallenström graduated from Kankaanpää School of Fine Arts in 2020. Piittala-Virtanen and Wallenström have also been involved in art education.
