Mysterius Pentagon Key & the Lantern Bearers Heading Towards the Last Twilight – Mika Rättö

The exhibition partly consists of original illustrations for my second book, a short story collection titled Mysterius Pentagon Key, published by Teos Publishing Company in late 2013. The illustrations are created with ink and fine pen tip. The artwork was largely produced during a two-month trip to Budapest, Hungary. I drew in a rented apartment by the Danube and listened to an audiobook of the Old Testament. Additionally, the exhibition includes works created using mixed techniques [ink, watercolor, wax crayon], which are outside of the world of Mysterius.

Keywords behind the exhibition: the world of fairy tales, horror literature, mysteries, occultism, the haunted city of Savannah, Georgia, USA, food, such as Hungarian fish soup halászlé, rituals and iconography of religions, and ultramarathon runners.
