Anna-Leena Haaramäki and Mari Syrén
“OCEANIC” Jewelry

“OCEANIC” is a joint jewelry exhibition by designers Anna-Leena Haaramäki and Mari Syrén. Both graduated in 1998 as jewelry and object designers from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Goldsmithing Department. Currently, both live and work in Eura.
The “OCEANIC” exhibition features jewelry inspired by the sea and water, utilizing the shapes, colors, and imagery of the underwater world. The works presented bridge the gap between art jewelry and everyday jewelry. The materials used in the jewelry include primarily silver, copper, casting resin, felt, stones, and pearls.

Jaana Kirjonen “LIMITLESS” – Graphics

Jaana Kirjonen (born 1970) is a graduate of Pori Art School, where she earned her degree as an art graphic designer/visual artist in the spring of 2000.
In the upstairs gallery, seven graphic prints and one three-dimensional object composition are on display. The works build upon the theme from the previous exhibition (Kuorin, Kuorit, Kuorii; Galleria 3H+K, Pori: Kirjonen, Pörn, Lipsanen-Rogers, 7.-22.4.01), in which Kirjonen depicted variations of a domestic landscape protecting the interior. Now, the journey goes deeper into the human being, into its innermost self – the soul.

– Ancient Greek philosophers taught that humans have an immortal soul. And when a person dies, the soul continues to live on. Or is the soul a prisoner of its body??
