SCULPTURES – TERO LILJAMO
Media release
My sculptures are simplified explorations with a clear formal language and perhaps even statements on being human and human actions, good and bad. I use natural materials and usually combine e.g. stone and felt or wood in order to create a contrast of materials. The different materials tell in their own way about each theme or idea in the sculpture and give direction to the viewer to create their own interpretation of what they see. My work is open to different interpretations and I try to guide the viewer forward. In my sculptures, I try to capture a glimpse of the psychophysical passage of human time and convey my interpretation of it to my fellow viewers. That’s enough to do for one person.
